Atlanta Braves Prove Team Name is Not Offensive At All with Flag Burning

Good news, everyone! The Atlanta Braves are unofficially not offensive to Native Americans anymore in an incident that the Washington Redskins and Cleveland Indians should consider copying: burning the American flag on Opening Day.

That’s what happened at Turner Field last night when pyrotechnics launched from the “Braves Vision” screen accidentally ignited the American flag.

It is unknown if this event will be considered an ill omen for a team that finished 1st in its division last year, but it can’t be a good start: the Braves were shut out by the New York Mets 4-0.
