Too Soon? Fantasy Football Wide Receiver Rankings 2014 Preview

Our “Too Soon” fantasy football draft preview is officially in the midst of the real point-makers. These are the players that usually get the ball in this pass-happy league, provided that their team has a quarterback that can throw the ball.

These are the wide receivers who, once again, fight to unseat running backs as fantasy football moneymakers that take over the first round in drafts.

We will get more in depth with all positions as the NFL season draws closer but, for now, here are my wide receiver rankings list based on:

a) Skillset

b) Strength of Schedule

c) Team Offensive Strengths and Weaknesses

d) Strength of Quarterback

e) Pending legal charges (See? I left Josh Gordon on there, just in case)

Have questions about my wide receiver rankings? Or just want to tell me how ridiculous my rankings are? Go ahead and comment, or email me at

Patrick is a self-proclaimed NFL analyst, critic, and lampooner, but he has also been known to provide commentary on baseball, basketball, hockey, MMA, and even cricket one time when he was delirious. Patrick is also a major homer when it comes to sports teams in his home state of NY, although he reserves the majority of his mockery to those teams. His heartbreaking teams are the New York Jets (football), New York Knicks (basketball), New York Islanders (hockey), Long Island Lizards (lacrosse), and evens it all out as a fan of the New York Yankees (baseball).
